MTDC Lonar, Buldhana

Lonar, Maharashtra is home to the legendary Lonar Lake, a rare natural wonder formed by a meteorite impact nearly 570,000 years ago. The meteoroid is believed to have struck the Deccan Plateau at a speed of 17.70 km per second, creating one of the world’s largest and best-preserved basalt impact craters, with only three other such formations found globally.
